The Kanabec County Art Association is happy to announce that renowned Vermont watercolor artist and author, Jeanne Carbonetti, will be coming all the way to Mora, MN next spring to teach “Painting from the Heart” May 19-21, 2011 at the Kanabec History Center. This class is an overview of all five of her books and promises to increase creativity and overall satisfaction with creating art. Participants in the class are free to use their preferred painting medium, but watercolor is Ms. Carbonetti’s specialty. For more information about Jeanne, check her website at http://www.crowhillgallery.com/
Class will be held in the historic Coin School on the History Center grounds and run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day with a one hour lunch break.
Thanks to grant support from the East Central Arts Council we are able to offer this workshop at a fraction of the normal cost to study with Ms. Carbonetti. But class space is limited and spots are being offered on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information about the workshop and how to reserve your place in class, please contact Becky Utecht at 320-679-4117 or shoot me an email.
This activity is made possible in part by a grant from the East Central Regional Development Commission and the East Central Arts Council with funds provided by the Minnesota State Legislature.
Jeanne has sent us the following Supply list for the workshop, you might want to get started on purchasing supplies. Contact Becky if you'd like to go in on a group order.
